“Guy Fawkes Night”

If I was in England on November 5th I would be celebrating Bonfire Night with my family.  Bonfire Night, what’s that?  Well… let me tell you.  It is bonfires, sparklers, and lots of fireworks.  We ear jacket potatos and we make Guys.  To make a guy you get some old clothes, stuff them with newspaper, make a head and sew him up.  Then you throw him on the fire. The whole storey o Guy Fawkes night took place in 1605 in England.  It’s about a group of people led by a man named Guy Fawkes.  They tried to Blow up king James the ferst and the Houses of parliament by putting Gun Powder in the cellars.  They got caught so they didn’t blow up the king and got put in jail.  This was called the gunpowder plot.

POEM

Remember, Remember the 5th of November,

Gunpowder, treason and plot,

I see no reason why gunpowder treason

Should ever be forgot.

“Scott Family camping Trip”

Gess what, I went on the best camping trip ever!  It started on Thursday.  I went with my family to the Spruces.  All of the Scotts met us up there.  We put up our tents and slept in them.  The ground was hard.  We made a trap to catch squirrels.  I caught two of them.  We roasted marshmallows, told joks, and sang songs around the campfire.  Some of us went hiking around the lake.  We saw a huge moose.  I felt very scared because I thought he would turn around and hurt us.  I had so much fun playing at the water.  And I played hide-n-seek near the trees with my cousins.  That is why it was the best camping trip ever.  The End.  –By Paige
